St. Nicholas is in CarrickFergus built in the 12th century. I took some photos of the graveyard. One was dated “died 1827” – the man was 53 at the time, so that would put him born in the late 1700’s. There were some apparently dated from the 1600’s.

CarrickFergus Castle
This castle was built in 1180 by the Normans in CarrickFergus overlooking the Belfast Lough (loch).
The Best Place on Earth for Me
Here I am in the pulpit of St. Nicholas’ (Church of Ireland) built in the 12th century. As you can see I couldn’t resist getting up in the pulpit.
Antrim Town
Antrim is a very old town in N. Ireland. The o’Neil clan (who are still alive) own a massive estate. They are connected to the High Kings of Ireland going back to the 5th Century. A beautiful place full of character. An old castle still exists through the town.
The Far North
Here we are in Port Stewart & Port Rush – the north coast. We had some excellent ice-cream at at place called Morelli’s. As you can tell we have been sampling the Irish fare with relish wherever we have gone. Above all we are saturated with tea.
