Synod of Dordt
I found this model quite amusing and instructive. The Institutes of Calvin outweigh the Arminians on the scale. The Synod of Dordt was convened in 1618/9 to respond to the Remonstrants (followers of Arminius) who outlined their theological position in 1610. The result, of course, was the Canons of Dordt.

Here we are atop the bell tower of the Main church in Dordt – still in love after all these years.

How do you get to Dordt? Well, you catch the bus…er..wait a minute – you catch the waterbus.
Entering Dordt
This is the gateway into the city. What I liked very much was the sign – notice the date and the last line on the sign. I was standing right on the edge of the water behind me. The sign is written in old Dutch. All cargo used to enter the city through this gate.
