We said goodbye to our friends (the Jardines) in Holland this morning, woke at 5.30 am, caught the train to Amsterdam (1:10 hr journey) at 7.05 am in the rain, then flew to Manchester England, arrived 10.10 am, spent some time in the city getting lost driving round, then left at about 3.30 pm for Cumbria (NW England) AKA the Lake District, arriving about 5.30 pm. Simply wiped out.

Kinderdijk Windmills
These windmills which still operate are located all in one place -Kinderdijk. Also there floats Moses in the bullrushes.

Rotterdam Lunch
We ate at a Turkish or Moroccan restaurant. I had a Durum for lunch – a lamb sausage wrapped in a taco like wrap. Very nice!
